Home Ministry warns against protesting or burning effigies of foreign PMs

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has warned to take action against the people protesting against any Prime Ministers of friendly countries.
Issuing a statement on Sunday, the Home Ministry Spokesperson Phanindra Mani Pokhrel, said that action would be taken against those people chanting slogans, organizing rallies and/or demonstrations and burning effigies in a way that would tarnish the image of the prime ministers of the neighboring countries.
In recent days, different groups have been protesting against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Darchula case.
