UML lawmakers obstruct Parliament meeting yet again

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML lawmakers obstructed Wednesday’s session of the House of Representatives (HoR).
UML lawmakers came to the well as soon as Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota tried to convince the UML lawmakers that their demands were taken note of.
“I have not violated the constitution. I urge you to cooperate with me to conduct the parliamentary sessions,” Speaker Sapkota said.
CPN-UML Whip Bishal Bhattarai protested against the issuance of the ordinance.
He also criticized the role of Speaker Agni Sapkota. UML has accused the Speaker of splitting the party.
