Govt to reduce tax on petroleum products
KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday has agreed to reduce the infrastructure tax on petroleum products. The Ministry of Finance has been given the responsibility to reduce the tax levied at the customs point. So far no decision has been made on which tax will be reduced. At present, an infrastructure tax of Rs 10 is being levied on petrol. A Home Ministry source said that the government is doing homework to remove it.
