KATHMANDU: The government has announced that it will provide Rs 5,000 monthly for patients undergoing kidney transplants and dialysis, cancer, and spinal cord paralysis patients from the Fiscal Year 2022/23. Presenting the budget for the coming fiscal year in the House of Representatives on Sunday, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma said that a budget of Rs 1.5 billion has been allocated for the medical treatment of such patients.
