KATHMANDU: Nepal is observing the Constitution Day (Asoj 3) with fanfare Monday.
It is the historic day that we, Nepalis, remind the constitutional provisions, its implementation, and review the role played by different sectors, including political parties.
Constitution is the supreme law of the country that governs the people and national affairs.
It allocates powers among governments and authorities, caters rights to people, and holds those in power accountable. Irrespective of the ruling system, constitution is essential political and legal document in any country.
