Nepal produces one million tones of garbage in a year
KATHMANDU: As much as one million tonnes of garbage come out of residences and business areas annually in the country, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics. Among those, 386,690 tonnes of wastage are emitted from residential areas while 245,884 tonnes are from business. Furthermore, 103,244 tonnes of garbages are released from educational institutions and 94,392 tonnes from industrial areas.
