Squatters clash with police in Thapathali

KATHMANDU: Squatters clashed with the police settlement in Thapathali settlement when the latter tried to dismantle the illegally-built huts in the area.
The squatters started pelting stones at the police when the security forces tried to enter the settlement.
Likewise, the locals also protested by burning tires on the road.
The High-Powered Committee for Integrated Development of Bagmati Civilization mobilized police to remove the squatter settlements.
